Oopiri (Thozha) starring Nagarjuna and Karthi, released to positive talk and running with packed houses all over the world. We all know the it is the official remake of French film 'Intouchables'.
It already crossed the $ 1.5 million mark at the US box office and 40 crore mark share from world wide collections. Even Sardaar Gabbar Singh couldn't stop the success run of this film.Trade pundits predicted that producers may end up with losses considering its high budget, which is about 52 cr. But now producers hit jackpot with its good run in the form of satellite rights.
Its satellite rights were sold out for 14 crore to Sun network including both Telugu and Tamil versions. With this producers, gained profits as distributors shelled 47 crore for the film. Coming to the distributors, they recovered 85% from the film's 17 days run. It may recover remaining amount with in 2 or 3 weeks, considering its good run.
